With Euro 2024 fast approaching, and with players like Jan Niklas-Beste and Maximilian Beier on the rise, the Bundesliga has a new crop of young talent available for "Die Mannschaft".

Overview

With Euro 2024 fast approaching, Futmo takes a look at which players may make their international debut for "Die Mannschaft" this year and creates an uncapped Germany XI.

Merlin Röhl

Following in the footsteps of Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira, Merlin Röhl is hoping to become one of the next generation of midfield talent for the German national team. Along with his national team compatriot Rocco Reitz for the under-21s, Röhl has seen a breakout campaign for both club and country. Scoring once and making five appearances since his under-21 debut in 2023 for the national team, Röhl has a very bright future ahead of him.

Jan-Niklas Beste

The hero as Heidenheim managed promotion on the last matchday during the 2022-23 2. Bundesliga season, Beste has taken the Bundesliga by storm and has attracted the interest of clubs like Fiorentina. With twelve goal contributions in the Bundesliga, Jan-Niklas Beste has contributed to over 40% of Heidenheim's goals this season. A balanced option for both build-up play and finishing, Beste provides it all. Twenty-four goal contributions in the 2022-23 2. Bundesliga campaign saw him go down as one of the best signings in the second tier that season.

Marvin Schwäbe

Having been scouted by the German national team in the summer of 2023, Schwäbe is another player that seems to be profiting off Manuel Neuer's injury and Germany's ageing goalkeeper reserve. Depsite being contacted during the summer, it is important to note that this was under former Germany national team coach Hansi Flick and not current manager Julian Nagelsmann. The player has one of the highest keeper efficiency statistics in the league and has no doubt kept Köln in with a chance of avoiding relegation.

Deniz Undav

Lighting the Bundesliga alight this season with his deadly partnership alongside Serhou Guirassy, Undav's versatility has been a real asset for VfB Stuttgart. Able to be both a lone striker and a supporting striker when Guirassy is fit to play, Undav has stepped up in the Guinea international's absence many times this season. A loan move from Brighton and Hove has provided a new stage in his career. Twelve goals this season means he is the highest-scoring German in the Bundesliga and has a chance to become part of a historic Stuttgart side. Previously having claimed he wants to represent Germany, this seems to be one of the strongest picks for a debut under Julian Nagelsmann.

Tim Kleindienst

Since Mario Gomez, Germany has struggled to find a solution for the striker role. Alongside Deniz Undav and Niklas Füllkrug, Tim Kleindienst represents the new crop of players who have become fairytale stories in their own rights as in their late twenties they have taken their careers to a new level. Scoring twenty-five goals in the 2. Bundesliga, it seems like Tim Kleindienst has taken his form in the second division to the top level which may seem a daunting task for some experienced lower-tier strikers.

Maximilian Beier

With twelve contributions for eight-place TSG Hoffenheim this season, Maximilian Beier has had a breakout campaign at just twenty-one-years-old. Certainly one of the most talented under-21s Germany currently has in its roster, Beier has made five appearances for the team. With seven goals last season for Hannover 96, Beier already made an important step to gaining a spot in Hoffenheim's team upon his return from loan. Despite this, no one could have foreseen his effectiveness for "Die Kreichgauer".

Julian Chabot

Julian Chabot has been a solid defensive player for a struggling 1. FC Köln side and has been one of their standout players both this season and last. With a transfer value of €9 million and with multiple Bundesliga and Premier League clubs interested in the centre-half, the player looks like a real talent. Having solidifed his starting position under coach Steffen Baumgart in the 2022-23 season, Julian Chabot commonly plays with his centre-back partner Timo Hübers.

Eren Dinkçi

Yet another Heidenheim player makes this XI and with their form this season it comes with little surprise. Having Turkish roots, it remains to be seen whether Dinkçi will commit to Germany or Turkey. The player played for both Germany and Turkey at youth level and has achieved four goals in eight games on loan from VfB Stuttgart. The quickest player in the Bundesliga this season (36.41 km/h), Dinkçi provides a unique switch of pace for Julian Nagelsmann to deploy.
