Toni Kroos celebrated his sixth Champions League trophy with Real Madrid after beating Borussia Dortmund in the final through two second half goals.

In his final game in club football, Toni Kroos ended on a high as Real Madrid won their fifteenth Champions League thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal.

After the tie, he said: "This game in itself, doesn't change anything about the overall career. When I thought about the decision (about retiring), I had it in the back of my head that it could end like this."

Also, Kroos mentioned that he found the switch from his last game at the Santiago Bernabéu to the game against Dortmund was tough mentally and emotionally.

The tactical changes in moving Jude Bellingham into a deeper role was noted by Kroos a contributor in terms of a turning point within the game.
