Max Finkgräfe
Background
Max Finkgräfe started off his career in academy football in 2015 at eleven-years-old when he joined Fortuna Düsseldorf.
After a year at the club, Finkgräfe joined Borussia Dortmund and stayed there from 2016 all the way until 2018 (when he was fourteen-years-old).
Until the Coronavirus pandemic, Max Finkgräfe played at academy level for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
In 2020, Max Finkgräfe made the move to senior football to play for his local side SG Unterrath who currently play in the Landesliga Niederrhein (sixth tier of German football).
In 2021, Finkgräfe made the move to 1. FC Köln's youth system and has been at the club since then.
In spring 2023, Finkgräfe signed his first professional contract with the senior team until 2025.
He made his senior debut against Borussia Dortmund in the first game of the 2023-24 Bundsliga season, coming on as a substitute.
In February 2024, Max Finkgräfe scored his first Bundesliga goal for 1. FC Köln in a 1-1 draw away at TSG Hoffenheim.
