VfL Wolfsburg have announced Ralph Hasenhüttl as their new head coach, following the sacking of former manager Niko Kovac this morning.
VfL Wolfsburg were on a run of eleven straight games without a win following the 2-1 loss to Union Berlin on Saturday in the Bundesliga.
Through this, the board made the decision to part with manager Niko Kovac this morning. Now, Ralph Hasenhüttl has been appointed as his replacement on a long-term contract.
The Austrian has previously managed Ingolstadt, SpVgg Unterhaching, VfR Aalen and RB Leipzig. Most recently, he was Southampton's manager from 2018 to 2022.
Some of the notable achievements he has a manager are guiding RB Leipzig into the Champions League for the first time and gaining Ingolstadt (now in the 3. Liga) promotion to the Bundesliga in 2015.
