The Germany women's national football team has booked their ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics by beating the Dutch women's side.

Germany beat the Netherlands 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Klara Bühl and Lea Schüller.

Horst Hrubesch's side dominated much of the game and had nineteen shots to six against the Dutch.

Germany now joins France (hosts) and Spain (winners of the UEFA Women's Nations League) from Europe in the tournament.

The story behind the pancakes is that the Germany side decided to fuel up before the game with some pancakes as energy ahead of the tie.
