Following the 2:0 loss to Hamburger SV, Schalke 04 manager Karel Geraerts had a few topics to raise in the press conference after the match.
Directly after the game, Karel Geraerts said: "Three aluminum hits, significantly more shots on goal than the opponent, but in the end the winner was Hamburger SV."
In the game, Schalke 04 had twenty-six shots and four on target whilst Hamburger SV only managed eight with five of these being on target.
The team from the north moved up into third place and within two points of top-of-the-table whereas Schalke only sit three points off relegation after Eintracht Braunschweig's win against Holstein Kiel.
Later on, Geraerts said: "We don't deserve to lose 2-0 today. But that's the reality of football.
He also added: "Hamburg had the momentum. When they had the chance, they scored."
