Following an upturn in form in the final months of last calendar year, VfL Bochum sit six points away from the relegation zone and ex-player Peter Peschel commented on this.
In an interview with Reviersport, Peter Peschel (who was at the club for an eleven year stint) spoke about the situation at VfL Bochum currently.
Born in Poland, the player achieved eighty goal contributions throughout his career.
When speaking about their season so far, Peschel said: "VfL got off to a bumpy start to the season and had to wait until matchday 10 for their first win. Then this followed in Darmstadt and later they also won the home games against Wolfsburg and Union Berlin."
When asked what his favourite moment of the season so far was, he said: "The 3-0 home win against 1. FC Union Berlin was impressive."
The interview finished with him saying "anything better than 16th place in the table is a success for VfL Bochum."
