With backup goalkeeper Michael Esser currently injured long-term, VfL Bochum are looking to sign Andreas Luthe (from Kaiserslautern) who will be behind Manuel Riemann on the bench.
Currently worth €300,000 and aged thirty-six, a large transfer fee (if any) is not expected for Andreas Luthe from VfL Bochum.
He has played two 2. Bundesliga games this season but after he received a red card in Kaiserslautern's second game of the season, he was dropped for ex-Köln player Julian Krahl,
During the last few game weeks, amid transfer rumours, Luthe has been dropped from the matchday squad.
He last played in the Bundesliga for Union Berlin, where he made thirty-one and twenty-seven appearances in consecutive seasons between 2020-21 and 2021-22.
It is anticipated that Andreas Luthe may choose to retire at VfL Bochum with the Bochum being his first club as both a youth and senior player.
