After the tie, Bochum manager Thomas Letsch said: "It's good that we picked up three points today. And to beat a team of excellent quality like Bayern, we couldn't afford to do anything wrong."
This win marked the first time Thomas Letsch has even managed a point against Bayern Munich as Bochum manager. The last two games against the Bavarians, his side conceded ten goals.
