Eintracht Frankfurt head into Sunday afternoon's home tie against Hoffenheim having been beaten only once at home in the Bundesliga this season.

Match Overview

Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt won 2-1 in a narrow away contest last weekend against Heidenheim. An own goal and a Niels Nkounkou goal was enough to turn the tie in Eintracht's favour.

Also, Frankfurt have a brilliant record at home in the Bundesliga. Their last and only loss at the Deutsche Bank Park came back on matchday 12 against VfB Stuttgart.

Die Adler are celebrating their 125th year anniversary this week so they will no doubt be spurred on to perform well.

Last time against Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt were able to win 3-1 away from home as former 1. FC Köln midfielder Ellyes Skhiri put the icing on the cake in scoring their thirs.

Ahead of Sunday's clash, manager Dino Toppmöller said: "Hoffenheim win a lot of games away from home, they’re strong in transition and have a player in great form in Beier."

TSG Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim won their second game in a row last Sunday against Werder Bremen despite playing the last twenty minutes with ten men.

In-form Maximilian Beier grabbed a brace against Die Grün-Weißen to win the game 2-1. As of matchday 24, Maximilian Beier has twelve goals under Pellegrino Matarazzo in the Bundesliga.

Hoffenheim can move within a point of Eintracht Frankfurt in sixth with a win. However, a loss means that Freiburg and Werder Bremen can join them level on points in the Conference League 7th spot.

Pellegrino Matarazzo's side are the highest placed team in the Bundesliga with a negative goal difference (-1).

Also, TSG Hoffenheim are the highest scoring side outside of the top five with 43 goals after twenty-four games.

Lastly, ahead of the clash with Frankfurt, TSG coach Pellegrino Matarazzo said: "Eintracht have variety in their build-up play. They have pace and creativity going forward and can also defend very well."
