Bayern Munich host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday in the Bundesliga with the hope of taking all three points ahead of their game against Real Madrid in midweek.

Match Overview

Bayern Munich

Against Union Berlin last weekend, Bayern Munich were able to flex their muscles a bit and exercise the quality that they have by beating "Die Eisernen" 5-1.

Despite having lost out the title to Bayer Leverkusen much earlier than they'd have liked, their improvement in performance over the last weeks has been noticeable.

Last time Bayern Munich faced Eintracht Frankfurt, they were embarassed 5-1 and were already 3-0 down in under fourty minutes of the contest. This time, Thomas Tuchel will hope revenge is on the cards.

Bayern Munich's striker Harry Kane has four games to net nine goals and break Robert Lewandowksi's record of 41 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign. The Englishman's current tally leaves him with 33 goals and four games to go.

Lastly, ahead of Saturday's match, Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel said: "We want to put in a great performance tomorrow because we need the points and want to keep up our momentum."

Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt put them well on the road of clinching the sixth position in the Bundesliga with four games left, after beating Augsburg 3-1 last weekend at the Deutsche Bank Park.

Omar Marmoush netted once again last weekend to add to his tally in the Bundesliga. The Egyptian striker currently has eleven goals in the league this season.

Dino Toppmöller's side are currently five points above seventh in the league, with four games to go. A loss against Bayern, however, may make the race for top-six lively once again as Freiburg play Wolfsburg in a more than winnable fixture.

Finally, ahead of the game against the record champions, Eintracht Frankfurt's coach Dino Toppmöller said: "We're the underdogs but parking the bus wouldn't suit Eintracht Frankfurt or me. We need good sharpness and good shape."
