After being subbed out against Bayer Leverkusen, Köln have announced that Justin Diehl will be miss the Rhine derby on Saturday and is out with injury for several weeks.
During the 65th minute against Bayer 04 on Sunday, Justin Diehl was forced off the pitch after just four minutes after an overextension of a muscle.
On Monday afternoon, it was revealed in a MRI scan that the player had sustained a muscle injury and will be unavailable for several weeks.
This is a sad moment for the youngster as he was visibly upset on Sunday as he was forced to miss the rest of the derby clash.
Diehl has made six appearances for Köln this season and gained his first Bundesliga start for the Billy Goats against VfB Stuttgart on matchday 23.
