1. FC Köln lost heavily against RB Leipzig in Friday evening's game at the RheinEnergieStadion and their coach Timo Schultz had some things to say after the loss.

Goals from Xavi Simons, Loïs Openda, Amadou Haidara and Yussuf Poulsen meant that Köln got humiliated at home by RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

The Billy Goats coach Timo Schultz made five substitutions: Benno Schmitz, Davie Selke, Damion Downs, Jacob Christensen and Steffen Tigges all came on in the second half.

After the game, Köln coach Timo Schultz said: "We are disappointed that we lost the game. We saw a team today from FC Köln that gave everything and had their moments and tried to keep compact in the game."

He added: "Until the 60th minute, we held the game open. Certainly, in the one or the other situation we were lucky. In the minutes after their second goal, we have to be more stable."

Lastly, Schultz said: "That it ended up being five goals against us, that annoys me greatly. Yes, Leipzig were better but you cannot concede five goals."
