Bayern Munich lost 2-0 against Borussia Dortmund as Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson scored in the Allianz Arena to clinch the win. Thomas Tuchel spoke after the tie.
Bayern Munich are now unbelievably thirteen points behind Bayer Leverkusen in first place with seven games still to play in this Bundesliga season.
More worrying perhaps for Bayern, VfB Stuttgart have a chance to move within one point of the record champions with victory over Heidenheim.
After the tie, Thomas Tuchel was asked about the possibility of having to praise Leverkusen for having won the title, and he said: "Can you (almost) congratulate Leverkusen for the title, yes."
He added: "It feels like we're back at the start once again. I didn't think that we would have this situation once again. It is so tough for us to develop a Geist or a spirit."
Lastly, Tuchel said: "We used the injury break to speak to players and the half time break as well. It is openly difficult for us to have the right energy and the right team spirit."
He added: "Extremely a lot goes against us, we had in the 26th minute a massive chance. We clearly had the handball decision. This was a catastrophic reasoning from the fourth official with the decision that Mats Hummels didn't touch the ball with the hand. Mats (himself) admitted that it touched his hand."
