Following a 2-1 win against Mainz 05, Bayer Leverkusen's Robert Andrich spoke about how it wasn't Die Werkself's finest victory.
Bayer Leverkusen lead in the game early on thanks to a Granit Xhaka wonder strike outside of the box.
After the goal, he played out a comical celebration in which he appeared to "be injured" causing an initial worry amongst some Leverkusen fans. However, Mainz equalized just minutes later through a clever free-kick scenario through Dominik Kohr.
In the second half, Robert Andrich's long range attempt was spilt in the back of the net by Mainz keeper Robin Zentner to gift Bayer 04 the 2-1 win.
Following the match, Andrich was asked whether it was a classic hard-fought victory and he said: "Yes, definitely. Work is always a part of it. Mainz had an upwind following their victory under their new manager."
Robert Andrich added: "We need to be honest with ourselves in that we didn't have a good game today. We did win with a bit of luck today, but at the end we won't complain about the three points."
