Sport Bild has reported that Max Finkgräfe does not want to play 2. Bundesliga football with 1. FC Köln and therefore wishes to leave the club in this case.

Max Finkgräfe has become a vital part of this sorry 1. FC Köln side that is sitting in the attic of the Bundesliga. With a transfer ban and a weak defence, he has cemented himself as one of the strongest performers in the Rückrunde.

Sport Bild reckons that he will follow suit of players like Justin Diehl in exiting the club despite only having half a season of Bundesliga experience under his belt.

The columnist believes a move to a big club is too early and such a young twenty-year-old can benefit from a season being one of the frontrunners in the 2. Bundesliga to attract more attention.
