Ian Maatsen bagged his first goal for Borussia Dortmund in a 2-0 away win at the Stadion an der Alten Försterei in Berlin. He spoke to the media following the tie.
Late on in the Borussia Dortmund versus Union Berlin tie, Ian Maatsen was through in on goal in the 90th minute after picking Josip Juranović's pocket.
The Dutchman (on loan from Chelsea) made no mistake in putting the dagger in Union Berlin's hopes for the tie and doubling Dortmund's lead.
After the game, Ian Maatsen said: "I’ve been waiting for this moment. I took a touch inside, I believed in it. I got a bit lucky to not give away the foul."
Before the game, Ian Maatsen had seven appearances in the Bundesliga and two assists for Die Schwarzgelben.
Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzić also had some comments after the win: "Everything this season is still in our hands and we have enough opportunities. Ten games left; ten important games. We are playing against our rivals straightaway."
