After spending a season on loan from Norwich at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2. Bundesliga, Christos Tzolis has now joined the club permanently thanks to his release clause.
Christos Tzolis was the 2. Liga's joint-top scorer for the 23-24 season with 22 goals and he helped fire Fortuna Düsseldorf into third place.
Despite losing in dramatic fashion to VfL Bochum in the playoff tie, the club have decided to activate the €3.5 million release clause in his contract to sign him permanently.
At only twenty-two-years-old, this is a brilliant piece of business for the club and will no doubt make the club who narrowly missed out on promotion this season a top contender for reaching the Bundesliga next season.
