Edin Terzić's Borussia Dortmund had to settle for a nil-nil draw with Heidenheim at the Voith-Arena on Friday in the Bundesliga following a first-half goal by Donyell Malen being ruled out by VAR.
Following the match, Edin Terzić told DAZN: "We had a lot of possession, especially in the second half, but we had no penetration, were hardly able to create any real chances. I think our play was far too complicated and not tidy."
Heidenheim managed to create better chances on the whole and with Tim Kleindienst's huge miss following a 14th minute Salih Özcan back pass, they may feel like they should have won.
In the post-match press conference, Edin Terzić also said: "the team failed to develop in the game with any force."
He also said: "Today, we had the chance to take a step forward with a win."
Terzić then went on to mention that it was a side step and that some positives can be taken from keeping a clean sheet against a solid team.
To end the press conference, Terzić said Jadon Sancho will be available for Borussia Dortmund in training by the start of next week.
