Due to injury sustained versus Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies will not only miss the Bayer Leverkusen game but also the Champions League tie against Lazio.

Alphonso Davies had to be taken off vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday during the 86th minute of the Bundesliga tie.

Bayern Munich confirmed on Sunday evening that he suffered a strained medial ligament in his left knee.

He is confirmed to be missing next weekend's crucial clash against first-placed Bayer Leverkusen and this will no doubt be a huge blow for the record champions.

Sky reports that Davies will have to take a two to three week break and the earliest he may return would be against VfL Bochum or most likely RB Leipzig on the 24th of February.
