European giants Bayern Munich are monitoring Manchester United's centre-back Raphaël Varane. Along with Bayern, Real Madrid have also shown interest in the player

Varane, 30 years old, has only made six starts this season and has fallen out of favour with Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag.

Joining in July 2021, United signed the French international for €40.00 million from Real Madrid.

With Bayern losing Tarek Buchmann and Noussair Mazraoui to injury and Kim-Min Jae being out in January with international duty, Varane could be a short and long-term solution for the squad.

With his contract expiring in 2025, it is suggested that Bayern Munich or Real Madrid could grab a bargain but will still have to fork out a fee for the player.
