Facing strong competition at Bayern Munich currently, Matthijs De Ligt is touted to be linked with a potential move to the London side.

In a recent press conference Mikel Arteta reported that Arsenal "needed more players".

A move in January for the player is deemed unlikely as the player is going to be required for Bayern's title surge against Bayer Leverkusen at least until the summer.

The player still has a contract until June 2027 having signed for the club in the summer of 2022.

With Nico Schlotterbeck also touted with a move to North London, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will splurge on the 24-year-old centre-half with Jurriën Timber set to return set to return before next season.
