Following 1. FC Köln's 1-1 draw during Timo Schultz's debut as 1. FC Köln manager, it has been announced this morning that both Luca Waldschmidt and Davie Selke are out.
In the statement on 1. FC Köln's website it said: "Luca Waldschmidt missed the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim (1-1) after he was injured in the final training session on Friday. On Sunday morning, the 27-year-old offensive player underwent an MRI scan. It was discovered that the fibula was fractured."
Waldschmidt has two goals so far for 1. FC Köln this season and is on loan from VfL Wolfsburg for the rest of the season.
In regards to Davie Selke, the player has achieved five goals this season and netted another yesterday in the game versus Heidenheim.
The club's statement read: "Davie Selke, scorer in the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim (1-1), underwent an MRI scan on Sunday morning due to pain in his left foot. The striker will be out for several weeks."
