1. FC Köln's under-19 player and under-17 world cup winner Fayssal Harchaoui is close to agreeing a long-term contract extension with the club (Kölnischer Rundschau).
Harchaoui featured in all seven games as Germany went on to win the under-17 world cup in late 2023.
Ahead of last season, he was promoted to the under-19 team following success in the under-17s.
This followed with the call up for the under 17s World Cup later that year where he featured alongside player of the tournament Paris Brunner and the highly touted and rated Barcelona talent Noah Darvich.
Having turned eighteen in January 2024, he is no doubt one of the senior players in the under-19 1. FC Köln squad and a step up to the 1. FC Köln II squad is expected for the player next season.
