After just over twenty minutes on the pitch in the top game against Bayern, Germany women's international player Marina Hegering was forced off the pitch with injury.

VfL Wolfsburg lost four-nil against Bayern Munich in the one of top-clashes of the season in the Frauen-Bundesliga.

However, the Germany women's team and Wolfsburg both picked up a huge scare and problem when defender Marina Hegering was forced off the pitch with help from the medical staff in the 21st minute.

Hegering appeared in the World Cup for the DFB women's in their last group game against South Korea. Despite this, she is unlikely to now play in the April international break depending on the seriousness of the injury.

National team coach Horst Hrubesch said: "As it looks now, it's the calf. I hope it's just a torn muscle fiber. But let's wait and see, I don't know exactly what's going on."
