In the Frauen-Bundesliga, SC Freiburg and Germany international midfielder Janina Minge will join last season's Champions Legue finalists in the summer.

Janina Minge will join VfL Wolfsburg Frauen on a free transfer at the end of the Frauen-Bundesliga season.

The German midfielder has made 155 appearances for SC Freiburg and made her debut for the national team in early 2023 against Sweden.

With youngster Lena Oberdorf rumoured to be joining Bayern Munich, perhaps Minge is being acquired as a replacement for the twenty-two-year-old.

Ralf Kellermann, sporting director of women's football at VfL Wolfsburg, said: “We are very pleased that Janina will be strengthening our squad from the summer as a flexible and goal-scoring midfielder."
