Background

Marvin Ducksch began his career in the youth ranks of Borussia Dortmund from 2002 to 2013 and mostly played for the youth levels and Borussia Dortmund II during this time. In the 2013-14 season, he was promoted to the senior squad and made six Bundesliga appearances.

The following season, Ducksch went on loan to SC Padeborn. In June 2016, Ducksch was acquired by St. Pauli on a three-year contract. After just six months at the club, Ducksch was loaned to Holstein Kiel for the rest of the 2016-17 season. Following a bright start, this loan was extended by a season.

In 2018, Ducksch joined Fortuna Düsseldorf. Just one year later, Fortuna Düsseldorf sold Ducksch to Hannover 96. At Hannover, Ducksch scored thirty-two goals in sixty-six games to earn himself a move to Werder Bremen who were in the 2. Bundesliga at that time.

Currently, Marvin Ducksch plays for SV Werder Bremen and has made two appearances for the Germany national team (with his most recent cap being in 2023). He is twenty-nine-years-old and has played for Werder Bremen since 2021.
