Clemens Fritz will succeed Frank Baumann as managing director of football at Werder Bremen per agreement on Wednesday morning, Bild reports.
Clemens Fritz will take over from current Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann as sporting director in the summer.
The search had been going for several months following Baumann's decision to quit after the season.
In November, the fourty-eight-year-old Frank Baumann announced that he would leave his role as sporting director at Werder Bremen in the summer earlier this season.
It is believed that the supervisory board consisting of nine members decided on Fritz during a meeting on Wednesday.
