VFL Wolfsburg Women's team managed to mount a convincing victory against 1. FC Köln women on matchday nine of the Frauen-Bundesliga season.

First Half

VfL Wolfsburg women's team once again showed their class by turning around the game following Köln's first half equaliser.

Experienced player Svenja Huth put the Wolves ahead early on in the game but it was Anna Gerhardt who scored a surprise equaliser to stun Wolfsburg.

Just before the break, Dominique Janssen managed to put the Wolves ahead with a well placed penalty.

Second Half

After half-time, Wolfsburg never really looked back and they continued to break through the Köln defence and maintained most of the possession.

A substitute appearance from Jule Brand ensured Wolfsburg would keep their foot on the gas throughout the rest of the game.

One positive for Köln was the return of Manjou Wilde as she came off from the bench in the final minutes following her injury which saw her in crutches over the summer.
