1. FC Köln are playing with fire in their bid to stay in the Bundesliga. The latest disappointment for fans (a 0-0 draw to Freiburg) provide little in their survival bid.

In a game where the Billy Goats had multiple chances to win through players like Faride Alidou and Linton Maina, they were not clinical enough to beat a weakened Freiburg side.

Timo Schultz's side kept a clean sheet for the first time since their win against Eintracht Frankfurt and also were solid defensively as they did not concede a single shot on target.

As has ever been the problem with Timo Schultz's Köln side, they simply do not have the cutting edge to score with any consistency in the Bundesliga.

Compounding these issues, their top scorer Davie Selke (six goals in the Bundesliga) has been injured since the start of April and will no longer play a role this season.
